Percent Yield?

Does anyone know how to find the theoretical and percent yield? or what she actually asked for?

  1. Theoretical yeild you do in the formula, Zn+2HCl->ZnCl+h2.
You find the original mass of the Zn, should be around .5 (you recorded it ont he chart.)
Find the number of mols of Zn youput it, by dividing the .5gby the amu.
Then you take that mol number, and make it equal to the ZnCl, since there is a 1:1 ratio.
You then figure out the weight of the znCl by adding the Zn amu and the Cl amu, and multiply it by the mols that you gotin the previous part.

The percent yeild is just subtracting the original mass by the mass you have at the end
